It

all started

with

a pill, a pill

that

was

a

radio station,

a radio

station that could

transmit "news"

direct

from a

human stomach.

The pill

was followed

by a camera,

a camera

so

small it could

be

swallowed

and photograph

a man's

stomach

in living color.

At

first, no one

took

these tiny

pioneers

very

seriously.

For at

the

time

medicine appeared

to

be

in

one corner, electronics

in another,

and the

two

weren't

going

to pull off

any

full-

fledged marriage

for

a

long time -if

ever.

But that

was

before

man began

to seriously

consider

the fact that

his

brain, nervous,

and

muscular systems

are

all

electrical.

And

if man

himself is electrical,

why not

his

repair

and diagnostic

systems?
